Education in the 21st Century
With the passage of "No Child Left Behind" legislation, every student is expected to meet certain preset standards. However, each child has unique characteristics with individual strengths, weaknesses and learning styles. Therefore, a cookie cutter approach to education does not meet the needs of every student and cannot meet the standards required in NCLB. Teachers and parents are continually required to adapt published materials, techniques and best practices to achieve compliance with NCLB and ensure optimum learning for every student. Many students require more practice on each skill than commercially produced products provide, while others benefit from alternative teaching methods and materials.
Located in Lapeer, Michigan, Teacher's PET Resources, LLC was formed in response to the continually increasing performance expectations being set for students and, therefore, their teachers and parents as well. At Teacher's PET, the mission is to provide the personalized materials and services needed to ensure success for every student.
Founder and manager, Leslie Getz, has worked with a wide range of students from preschool through high school, each with distinct learning needs. She has developed specialized materials and techniques to ensure maximum success for all students. She excels in customizing teaching techniques and materials to best meet the needs of each student.
Through Teacher's PET Resources, Leslie Getz and associates offer a wide variety of personalized services to educators, students and parents. All materials and services are customized to maximize the effectiveness for each student.
